Light Scoop 2.0, a scoop with a light

A couple of posts back I mentioned the Light Scoop, a handy tool for bouncing light from a camera with a popup flash. I tend to use Nikon D2x’s (now D3s) more than I use the Nikon D40x so the Light Scoop never gets a chance to work on the big cameras.

But what if there was a Light Scoop with a tiny strobe inside? I realize this would be terribly complicated to build and getting it to sync with on-board TTL systems would be a nightmare…..but. How cool would it be to have a little bounce light for my D3. It wouldn’t have to put out much light since the D3 handle low levels very well.

How about it Professor Kobre?
